Variations of Gammon

NO HITTER
First one to hit their opponent's chip, loses the game. If no one hits, then the game continues to finish as in regular gammon.

FIRST HIT
First one to hit their opponent's chip, wins the game. If no one hits, then the game continues to finish as in regular gammon.

MUST HIT
With every dice roll, the player must hit an opponents chip if one can be hit. This includes coming off the bar if one of the numbers would allow any of the opponents chip to be hit anywhere on the board.
Example: You have a chip on the bar and roll a 2 and a 3, and both spaces are open for you to come on and are empty but if elsewhere on the board you could hit your opponent with a move of 3, you must come off the bar using the 2 rolled and hit with the 3.

FLATLINER
First one to completely block their home row with two or more chips in each point slot wins the game. (As illustrated by the blue chips below) If no one completes a flat line, then game continues to finish as in regular gammon.

Variations to Flatliner
may be played at times and may include:

No Hit/Flatliner -(flatliner with no hitting allowed)

TRUE TOWERS
First one to build two towers of six chips in their home row wins the game. A tower cannot be built in the sixth spot (where your five stones start from). (As illustrated by the blue chips below) If no one builds the required towers, then game continues to finish as in regular gammon.

Variations to Towers - may be played at times and may include (sixth spot can be used in these variations).
- Twin Towers - Two towers side by side.
- Space Needle - One tower of at least 10 chips.
- Mini Towers - 3 towers of four chips.
- No Hit Towers - Any variation (should be announced by TD at start of tournament) - no hitting allowed.
- Reverse Towers - Player may win by building one tower of six or more chips in one column of their opponents home. If no reverse tower is built, the game finishes as in regular gammon to determine the winner.

BASEBALL
Three strikes and you're out. First one to roll three doubles during any one game loses the game. Opponent must call out your strikes in the room, i.e. "STRIKE 1", "STRIKE 2" and "STRIKE 3". Doubles rolled while on the bar or coming off the bar do not count as strikes. If no one "strikes out" then game continues until someone completes a Home Run (finishes as in regular gammon). Opponent should call out "HOME RUN BY "WINNER'S NAME" in the room.

BEHIND ENEMY LINES
First one to get five of their chips in their opponent's home row wins the game. Yes this means you want to get hit so you can get your chips to their home row but watch out, you can also win by finishing as in regular gammon.

BRUISER GAMMON
Bruiser is about hitting your opponent. First hit of a game scores one point for the one doing the hitting and is announced in the room in caps with total hits for each. (Example: PLAYER A 1 / PLAYER B 0). When a hit is scored, the board is reset so the other player leads off the next game until the next hit is scored and announced. Game is reset after each hit. Completing a regular gammon with no hits being scored by either player is two points to the winner. Double hits during any one game roll count as one hit as the board must be reset after the first hit. The winner of the game is the player scoring 3 hits (or 5 hits depending on TD choice) first.

TKO
Played the same as Bruiser except the game is not reset after each hit and players continue until one scores 3 (or 5) hits on their opponent or completes a regular gammon. Scores are announced in room after each hit.

REVERSE GAMMON
The game where losing means you're the winner. Player who loses by having chips remaining on the board at end of game wins. Anything goes in this game. Its not easy to lose on purpose when your opponent is trying to do the same!

DOUBLE JEOPARDY
The objective of this twist is to put two of your opponents chips on the bar at the same time to win the game or complete a regular gammon. This does not have to be done in the same roll but both chips must be on the bar at the same time.

TAG TEAM
Each round, one board is set by the setting team. One team member plays, the other watches. If either player feels they are in jeopardy of losing, they can tag their partner to play by announcing this to the opposing team and the TD. Once the TD acknowledges the legal tag, the board may be reset to start over with the tagged team member now playing. Both teams do not switch players at the same time unless both tag out so a match/game could be restarted a maximum of twice. One tag per team per round. Once a chip/stone has been racked by either team, tags are no longer allowed in the remainder of the match. You may not tag from the Bar and you must tag before you roll.

SPEED GAMMON
Speed gammon is just regular gammon with a time limit determined by the TD usually around 5 minutes. If no winner before the 5 minutes are up, the winner will be determined by who has the most in their home. If both have all men home then the winner is determined by who has the most racked. If that is tied as well, game is reset and a 2 minute sudden death round will start.

FIRST RACKED
The first person to rack a chip wins.

SNAKE EYES
Played like regular gammon however anyone who rolls double ones (Snake Eyes) at anytime during the game loses the game.

1,2,3 GAMMON
1,2,3 Gammon You have to roll double 1's double 2's and double 3's in any order and you win even if your on the wall.
